Bob’s Grill in Ocean City, NJ, where Casey worked as a waitress this past summer, is partnering with the Policeman’s Benevolent Association Local #61 to offer a scholarship in Casey’s name. Students who graduate in June 2010 from Ocean City High School and plan to continue their studies at an accredited two or four-year college, university, technical, or trade school are eligible to apply for the Casey Feldman Communication and Media Studies Pedestrian Safety Scholarship. A minimum of $500 will be awarded to the recipient for the first annual safety scholarship.

The purpose of the award is to increase student safety awareness regarding traffic safety, including pedestrian safety and distracted driving. Applicants are required to submit a short video or a written public service announcement campaign that will be distributed in one of the Ocean City schools.

Dianne Anderson is the mother of the late Casey Feldman and co-founder of the The Casey Feldman Foundation and its sponsored project, EndDD.org.

  1. Awareness is where change starts. Thanks to all at Bob’s Grill and Local #61 for a thoughtful and relevant effort on behalf of pedestrian safety. Casey would approve. With gratitude, Marcy Seminoff (Casey’s aunt)
