April 6, 1988 - July 17, 2009

Casey Feldman, 21, of Springfield, a senior at Fordham University and an award-winning student journalist, died July 17, 2009 after being hit as a pedestrian. Casey’s life was much too short but she managed in those 21 years to accomplish so much and to touch the lives of many through her kindness, love, friendship, caring and compassion.

The Casey Feldman Memorial Foundation’s Mission

The Casey Feldman Memorial Foundation’s mission is to provide financial support to individuals, groups, and institutions whose interests and goals align with those of Casey.

Casey was hard-working, thoroughly enjoyed life, actively pursued her dreams of becoming a journalist and always stayed connected to friends, family and those who cared about her and for whom she cared. She listened to people intently, always believing that everyone had a story to tell, was a valued friend to whom many confided without reservation and encouraged others to fully pursue their dreams. Casey was passionate about a number of causes and always found time in her busy schedule to help those less fortunate, including volunteering at a soup kitchen ,a  women’s shelter, an AIDS clinic, and at a no-kill animal shelter.

The Foundation will support charitable, educational and literary pursuits and encourage volunteerism and  good citizenship.
