Foundation Donates $1,000 to Haiti Relief

In keeping with Casey’s compassion and kindness towards others, the Casey Feldman Foundation has generously donated $1,000 to the relief efforts in Haiti. The donation was made last week through the American Red Cross.  In her all too short life, Casey made the time to reach out to help those in need. The foundation is proud to provide support to the Hatian people in Casey’s memory, honor, and spirit.

I never had the privilege of meeting Casey, but there is no doubt in my mind that she would be proud.

I hope you will soon publish information about the planned annual spring-break volunteer opportunities also being done in her name.

Thank you very much Judith. Yes, we agree, Casey would be proud!

The awards were made to about 8 students this year at The Univeristy of Colorado at Boulder for the alternative spring break program. As soon as we receive some of the requested details and student photos from CO, it will be announced on the website.

Thank you so much for your interest.

I am sure that it doesn’t need to be repeated here, (but will anyway) that the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010, has caused catastrophic damage and loss of life. The earthquake toppled buildings and buried countless victims in the worst natural disaster of the poor Caribbean nation’s history. The Red Cross estimates three million people — a third of the country’s population — need aid. Up to 200,000 have died.

I know that Casey’s heart would be crying out for the victims just as ours are and that she would be steppping up to the plate to donate something.
